Putting on a wetsuit can be daunting, especially if you've never done it before. Fear not, we've put together some handy instructions to make it a walk in the park!

1. Preparation is key

Make sure it's not inside out and is around the right way before you start (there's nothing worse than only realising you've put it on backwards once it's up to your armpits)! You want to make sure that the size is on the inside, the zip is at the back and the knee pads are on the front.

2. Legs

Put one leg into the correct leg of the wetsuit until your foot pops out of the end and pull it up above your knees. Then do the same with the other leg. Next, shimmy the suit up to the top of your thighs making sure it is pulled tight all the way up your legs.

3. Lunging it into place!

Get the wetsuit fully over your hips, now is the time for some lunging and squatting to make sure that it’s pulled up far enough and the crotch is in the right place –this part is key to being comfortable in your wetsuit.

4. Arms

Pull it up your torso, pulling it tight as you go. One at a time slide your arms into the sleeves and pull it up over your shoulders until comfortable.

5. Zip it up!

Remember to zip it up or you’ll get cold flushes of water trickling in when you go through a rapid!

We hope these simple instructions mean that you can concentrate on being excited about your rafting trip and stop worrying about having to wear a wetsuit! And remember - everyone feels silly in a wetsuit, it's part of the fun!
