Coaching: Elevate Your Skills!
We have a fantastic range of sessions available with our experienced coaches, designed to take your paddling to the next level. Whether you want to boost your safety skills or nail some freestyle moves, this is your opportunity.
Each option is available as a half-day session, running in both the morning (9:00-12:00) and the afternoon (13:30-16:30).
Whitewater Safety with Rob Litherland
Rob is an Instructor Trainer delivering boat and water rescue courses throughout Europe. He has worked around the world as a river guide and has spent most of his life travelling big mountain ranges and exploring the rivers that flow off them. In this session he will help you master hydrology, foundational whitewater swimming techniques and throwbag rescues. It is perfect both as an introduction to whitewater safety or as a refresher to keep your skills sharp.
Efficient Paddling with Jonathan Davies
Jonathan has been paddling since 1975 and coaching canoe slalom since 1990, bringing unparalleled technical expertise to the sport. He has coached a wide spectrum of athletes, ranging from complete beginners to Olympic medallists. In this session he will teach you how to use the river to your advantage and make every stroke count. It's an ideal choice for grade 3 paddlers looking to progress their technique and flow.
Freestyle with Matt Stephenson
Matt is a world class paddler, recently claiming a bronze medal in C1 Men at the 2026 Paddle Europe Freestyle Championships in Lieksa, Finland. Matt (in the pic!) is the happiest, most generous coach. He delivers targeted advice with sincerity and joy. This session allows you to spend half a day dialling in your freestyle moves. It is suitable for paddlers who are already confident surfing and have a reliable roll.
Camping
Due to space restrictions, camping is a separate cost this year. This means you now have the flexibility to book your Tryweryn Fest ticket with or without the camping fees.
On-site camping
- Vehicle camping spaces: £20
- Tent spaces: £20
These can be booked alongside your T-Fest booking.
Off-site camping
If you're keen on a quieter night of camping after the festivities, Tyn Cornel campsite is right next door and is running a special offer for that weekend! Single occupancy booking will have a 33% discount automatically applied. For a booking of two or more, use the code TFEST2025 on the party member page of the booking form for a 15% discount. This applies to both electric and non-electric grass pitches.
Don't miss out on what promises to be an epic Tryweryn Fest! Grab your tickets now and get ready for a weekend of unforgettable paddling.
Surely it can't rain as much as T-Fest 2024!
