This is a beautiful 11.5km walk through farmland and moorland up to the summit of Moel Emoel (549m).

On a clear day you're treated to panoramic views of various peaks including the Aran ridge, Cadair Idris, Arenig Fawr, Arenig Fach as well as the Berwyn mountains.

Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) is a crucial part of life in Bala - it's our version of the seaside!

In good weather it's perfect for relaxing in the sunshine and when you need a cool off, you can go for a paddle in the shallows. Even in stormy weather there's a charm to watching the clouds rolling in and the waves splashing about in the wind.

Aran Hufen Iâ is simply awesome. Not only is their ice cream sensational, they also have exquisite coffee, waffles and delicious vegan cakes for you to tuck in to. A trip here will keep the kids happy deciding whether they want unicorn or dinosaur sprinkles and you can choose from a variety of luxurious flavours - go on, you deserve it!

Bala has two playgrounds which are great for a little hop, skip and jump around. Perfect for keeping the little ones entertained for half an hour!
