The National White Water Centre: Canolfan Tryweryn, is a not for profit company owned and operated by Canoe Wales, the National Governing Body for paddlesport in Wales.
The standard facility fee of £22.00 per day provides the user with access to the facilities at the National White Water Centre, along with as many boat shuttles back to the top of the river as time allows. It also provides the user with 3rd party liability cover for their time on the water. (Under 18s £15.00).
As National Governing Body "On the Water" membership provides the user with 3rd party liability insurance as one of the benefits of membership, the National White Water Centre is able to provide use of the facilities at a reduced rate: £15.00 per day (under 18s £7.50).
As an additional benefit to Canoe Wales members, Canoe Wales chooses to subsidise the facility fee for its members thereby further reducing the cost to them: £8.50 (under 18s £7.50).
What does the facility fee cover and how is it spent?
Use of the facilities at Canolfan Trywern: car parks, toilets, changing rooms and showers, enhanced first aid cover from appropriately qualified first aiders along with boat shuttle from the main centre back to the top of the river.
Upkeep of the site and buildings, including, footpaths, tree surveys and any subsequent tree work, alongside where possible keeping the river clear of trees.
Financial support to Canoe Wales to help it with its aim of promoting and progressing paddlesport.
