STUDENT OPEN DAYS 2020

SUNDAY 29TH MARCH 2020

Welcome to the National White Water Centre! Come and experience what we have to offer, including free facility fees for student kayakers and canoeists for the day and white water rafting at a bargain rate for those not quite ready to take on the rapids themselves. Open to all university students with an interest in white water kayaking and rafting.
Free Facility Fees

Please sign in at reception upon arrival to agree to the conditions of use. You must have your student I.D. to hand to receive your free facility pass for the day.

The Centre 
The centre is equipped with changing rooms, toilets, lockers and hot showers. There is also a cafe on-site for hot food and drinks once you're off the river. 

First Aid
The centre is staffed with first aid provision whenever there is a water release. If you find yourself requiring first aid, let centre staff know.

Parking
There are 4 car parks on site and your free facility pass includes parking. 

The top car park will be locked by Welsh Water when they switch the water off for the day. If you won't be back at your car by then, please park in one of the other car parks on site. 

Shuttles
There will be a kayak shuttle from the centre to the put in. Check the shuttle timetable when you sign in and keep your wristband visible. 

On Sunday 29th we will do a driver only shuttle to Bala car park. Please sign up to this service by 10am and you will be collected in Bala at 10.15am.
White Water Rafting - £15pp

Rafting Taster Sessions are available for £15pp
The Rafting Taster session takes you on two action packed runs down the Upper Tryweryn’s natural, Welsh mountain white water rapids! A great option for the beginner kayakers  in your club to give them a white water experience.

Places are offered on a first come first served basis, please let us know numbers and names in advance by e-mailing info@nationalwhitewatercentre.co.uk 
Payment can be made upon arrival.

Please note: rafting participants need to arrive at reception half an hour before their allocated time slotEveryone must be able to swim 25m and under the 115kg / 18stone weight limit.
